ABOUT MOTHER'S DAY OUT
A Place to Shine
With our progressive and holistic early childhood education philosophy, we understand that each child has unique needs and interests. We provide the environment and tools your child needs to thrive to the best of their abilities.
When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they leave our program, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.
OUR ACTIVITIES
Harnessing Creativity
EXPLORING ART MEDIUMS
We believe that art adds a depth to education. We also know how much students love to try out new art supplies. We strive to provide students multiple ways to express themselves and their academic themes through a variety of art opportunities
SENSORIAL LEARNING
Learning to use the imagination is a key skill in a young child's life. Using the things they have already learned or things they see, children manipulate those ideas in their own creative way to explore how the world works around them. We excite their senses through materials that have different textures and smells, so that we can open up new pathways in their brain as they learn and explore.
PRACTICAL LIFE SKILS
Students will be given multiple opportunities to strengthen the skills they will need in their everyday lives. Things like scooping, pouring, threading, cutting, and opening a jar are just a few of the ways that we support students as they learn these important abilities.
INTRODUCTORY MATHEMATICS
Our students work to understand the foundation of all math skills. We start with an introduction to number concepts so the students have a concrete understanding of what numbers represent. We move them through introductory addition, subtraction, and measurement concepts once they have conquered the basic skills necessary to be successful.
LANGUAGE CONCEPTS
Everyone wants their child to be a successful reader. We start the foundation for this success as young as we can by introducing them to important concepts about print, and fostering a love a stories. We move them through our program by focusing on the sounds that letters make so that students can master reading without the stress of memorizing words.
MOTHER'S DAY OUT MISSION
Unique and Valuable
We believe that children thrive in an environment which values their own uniqueness, while providing support and opportunities to grow emotionally, socially and creatively. By building on each child’s strengths, interests and curiosities, we guide each child to explore the world around them as well as develop new abilities and form close relationships.
